TOS last verified: March 8, 2026·Snapchat Community Guidelines — Sexual Content

What the Terms of Service actually say

Community Guidelines — Sexual Content — Prohibited Conduct

Offers or solicitation of sexual services (whether paid or unpaid), including both offline services (such as, for example, erotic massage) and online experiences (such as, for example, offering sexual subscription services, or sexual chat or video services).

Snapchat bans ALL sexual service offers — paid and unpaid, offline and online. Escort services, erotic massage, subscription services, and even sexual chat services are all explicitly covered.

Community Guidelines — Sexual Content — Prohibited Conduct

Promoting, distributing, or sharing pornographic content, including photos, videos, or highly realistic animation, drawings, or other renderings of explicit sex acts, or nudity where the primary intention is sexual arousal.

All pornographic content is banned — not just offers of services but any sexually explicit content shared on the platform.

What's specifically prohibited

  • Offers of sexual services — paid or unpaid (explicitly named)
  • Offline services like escort/erotic massage (named)
  • Online services like sexual subscriptions or chat
  • Pornographic content of any kind
  • Sexually explicit nudity

What happens if you get caught

  • Account permanently banned
  • Content removed without warning
  • Snap score and memories lost
  • Phone number flagged — new accounts on the same number may be auto-banned

Our analysis

Snapchat is one of the more aggressively anti-sex-work platforms. The Community Guidelines explicitly prohibit "offers of sexual services," which covers any use of the platform for escort business — from marketing to client communication. Unlike some platforms where enforcement is lax, Snapchat actively scans for adult content and has invested heavily in AI-based detection. The ephemeral nature of Snaps doesn't protect you — Snapchat's systems analyze content before it disappears. Many providers have had long-standing accounts banned overnight, losing their Snap score, friend list, and Memories. The phone number flagging is especially problematic: if your number is associated with a banned account, new accounts using that number may be auto-banned. Providers who need Snapchat for client communication should use it with extreme caution and never discuss services directly on the platform.
